HAPPY EASTER

I'm part of the Easter Blog Hop hosted by Drea Becraft. The contest starts today and concludes at midnight on Easter Sunday. I'm giving away a E-book copy of Songs From the Heart to the person who had the best memory of Easter as a child! Memories can be about church, receiving a Easter basket and your favorite candy. Here's the link: http://thebloghopspot.com/event-page/.

When my oldest daughter was about 5- I had bought the Easter Basket goodies and did n't realize the little box of rocks that turn into jewels was empty. When she opened the box and found it empty, she called the Easter Bunny a cheap rabbit and said she got cheated out of a gift- lol

Not the sweetest memory but one that sticks in my mind. Every once in awhile she brings it up and we laugh.

After going to church dressed in new Easter outfits, eating a huge dinner, we would hunt for Easter eggs in grandma's back yard.

At church, we would hear the story of Jesus's suffering and resurrection. It always made me cry because he suffered so much.

Happy Easter! I don't have Easter memories as a child as we didn't celebrate it. However as an adult, I love it! We always have baskets with candy, new spring toys, and a big egg hunt for the kids. We go to church and have a big family lunch at the in laws. But the high light of the day is the annual 4 square competition. Everyone gets in on it and has so much fun!

My favorite memory is going to stay with my uncle in Alameda, my parents left us there while they went on a trip. Our uncle hid our baskets and we had to search his house in Navy housing, I found mine in the tub behind the shower curtain.

One of my favorite Easter memories is when my siblings and i woke up to big baskets of candy and a board game a piece. We took all of our candy, threw it into one huge bowl, put it in the middle of the table and my famiy played our board games all day long. I remember having so much fun! Laughing, having a stomach ache from eating to much candy and nothing else! Its one of my favorite memories. :) Happy Easter! You have a wonderful time and have a great weekend! ;) Thank you for sharing and for the giveaway!
