INTERNATIONAL LOVER

Developing a Basketball Romance story involving a Italian woman and African-American baller. The early title is called Getting a Boot. I am taking thoughts and suggestions.

I wrote a story in Italy about an Italian woman and an American fight pilot. That was my WWII story. What time period are you looking at?

It's in the current time zone. Imagine that I'm not writing about the 1980's.

So that's how they meet. He moves to Italy?
What a great chance to do research.

K.T.,
Have you been to Italy? You almost have to go there to get a feel for the people and their culture/customs.

I like the premise. Can you tell us a bit about the hero and heroine. If the hero is the sports figure, you might have him working for the CIA because he'd have a great cover. Grin.

Sandy, Grayson "Netz'' West goes over to Rome after signing a $4 million dollar contract to play basketball. They meet for the first time as Giovanni Francoiza comes to America and negotiate his contract. Her father owns the team.

K.T. I like your premise. Sounds like the story can start with their meeting here in the US and then take them to Italy. This shows lots of promise.

Sounds like a fabulous story-line.

How infuriating for him if he has a big ego and she is not impressed or educated about basketball. He cannot ignore the chemistry, but can't believe she isn't falling at his feet like most women do.

Hey, nice map of Italy you have!
I like your idea, but I'm not sure the title works. How about: Playing balls? or Italians play it better?

Thanks for making comments. I will consider your suggestions.

The story sounds interesting. Hmm . . . maybe like a qualifier for the USA Basketball team and they are playing against Italy for I don't know a world tornament? How's that?

I'm with Laura. I think the title misses the premise of the story. It should have something to do with Italy and playing ball.
Good luck!
