Say hello.... to Casey Crow

I'm honored to have a fellow Alabamian, Casey Crow, stop by the blog on this busy Thanksgiving Day weekend. She's a Summa Cum Laude graduate from the University of Alabama with degrees in Business Management and Dance. She received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Mobile. Casey resides in Mobile where she stays busy with her two young children. She also works as a dance choreographer, pageant coach, professional emcee and model, and certified Miss America preliminary judge. In fact, she is a former Miss University of Alabama. Casey writes erotic and spicy contemporary romances with the tagline “Sexy, Southern & Sassy.”
Here's Casey: Thank you KT for having me and helping me kick off the CAN'T FAKE THIS
BLOG TOUR! I'm so excited to announce my debut will be out Dec. 6 with Loose, Id. It's funny how things work out. CAN'T FAKE THIS started out on a whim. At the last minute, I decided to enter this 10,000 word contest. I’d written spicy mainstream, but this was my first dive into erotic waters. I didn’t win the contest, but after having what I thought was a good start, I added some more words and low and behold,
this erotic became the first manuscript I sold.

The story is about a divorcee ready to reenter the dating world. Anna Ryan is determined to be the best “product on the market,” which requires a lot more experience so she propositions sexy police officer Chase Harris to teach her how to make hot, passionate love as opposed to just having sex. He takes it a step further, instructing each lesson based on The Twelve Days of Christmas.

The blog tour kicks off here and there will be a huge blog party on my website Dec. 6 where 12 authors will be doing 12 give-aways to go along with the 12 Days of Christmas theme in the story. Best sellers & RITA nominees from various genres will be there! I hope you join me at http://www.caseycrow.com/blog/ for chances to win great books and other prizes.

So do you have a story about a book or something that came to fruition but never should have? Something that happened because you acted spontaneous and it changed your course of life? I'd love to hear about it!

I love October!

October represents many things for me! My birthday is on the 18th. Halloween, one of my favorite holidays, comes on the 31st. I usually celebrate a month by eating an endless supply of Reese Cup pumpkins and pumpkin cookies!
The third of October brings a different meaning to me. I have two books coming out at Rebel Ink Press: Claw Marks Anthology and Cougar Cravings Anthology! For additional details, check me out at www.rebelinkpress.com

Getting the Boot for Real!

Rebel Ink Press has recently contracted four of my books between the fall and early next year. While I am excited about all of them, Getting the Boot, stands out. Mainly because I've been promoting the book for the past two years, especially putting a map on this site.
Getting the Boot and the Second Chance Anthology will be released sometime in 2012. Coming out later this year are the Cougar Unleashed Anthology and Something to Believe In, part of the Claw Marks Anthology. Over the next several weeks, I will be popping up on several blogs. Stay tuned.

CHAOS REIGNS SUPREME

A lot has happened since my last post, but where do I begin?
Got hit with another mandated furlough in November, which I took the first week of March! Thank God for the refund I received from the I.R.S.
In April, my hometown, Tuscaloosa, Ala., was hit with a devastating tornado that tore apart the city! Thank goodness my family survived, but most of my friends did not. Several lost homes and businesses.
The second day of May my department at the office continued to get phased out. I was next in line to get cut!
In the meantime, I am awaiting word on two books I just submitted!
